It often time seems that the GOP couldn’t sell air conditioners in the Sahara Desert.
Republicans have a limited window of opportunity to gain enormous popularity, and at the same time throw ice water on an Administration that by most accounts has been a total and complete failure.
The Senate has overplayed their hand in refusing to negotiate with Boehner . Obama’s narcissistic approach to raising the debt ceiling, if played right by the Republicans, could come back and haunt the President from now until that glorious day in 2016 when his term will mercifully end.
If the Republicans had one ounce of creativity or the ability to look past their own noses, they would certainly see and then shout from the highest mountains the pain that Obama and his henchman are inflicting on the American people.
The fact that someone inside Obama’s administration chose to enact a measure to not pay the customary $100,000 death benefit to the families of service members killed in the line of duty borders on insanity.
Yesterday Obama allowed The National Park Service to host a pro-immigration rally attended primarily by illegal immigrants on the National Mall, even as it increases the amount of security guards and barriers barring Americans from visiting their open-air memorials.
It’s just another double standard from the Dear Leader who seems to embrace everything and everyone not born in this country.
The President’s leadership qualities have proven to be non-existent.
Obama, who pressed for civility and open negotiations near the end of his press conference yesterday must have forgotten that he had used terms such as “hostage taking” and “ransom demands” several times in describing House members only moments earlier at the same press conference.
The Republican’s should let the fires burn.
The House should tell Mr. Obama that they are willing to raise the debt ceiling provided that the controversial Medical Device Tax be stricken from Obamacare.
The tax is wildly unpopular and which levies a 2.3% tax on devices such as surgical equipment, stents, heart valves and catheters. The President has taken heat for making it a part of his Healthcare overhaul.
If Republicans agreed to present this option it would most certainly end the stalemate.
Republican’s would appear to be the negotiators while saving face with their supporters, it will make Obama appear to relent on his insistence that there would be no compromises.
The government would reopen, and the 800# Gorilla called Obamacare can do what 800# Gorilla’s do.
…And the Walls come tumbling down.
